Bad Moves! In Genesis 16:1-4 we are able to read Sarai speaking, v.2 "Please, go in to my maid (Hagar); perhaps I shall obtain children by her." The woman's fault? No! Both of them. "And Abram heeded the voice of Sarai." Let's go back to Genesis 3 and the fall of man! Gen. 3:6 She (Eve) also gave to her husband (Adam), and he ate." What a parallel! In both cases the men listened to their wives, agreeing and being totally involved, BUT clearly wrong! Wrongful thoughts and actions do not make everything right. Two wrongs do not make a right.
Please read Genesis 16 and sense the honesty of the Holy Spirit, as he wrote the account! So many times in the Bible, God just opens up their lives for us to read! They were people just like us! They sinned and repented! Do you? What are you going to say and do tomorrow? Are each of us going to try to please God, believe Him at His Word, and lean upon His promises? Do earnestly try!
